Soldiers of Creation Launch Party

Soldiers of Creation is a unique platform dedicated to creating a safe space for survivors and allies that have been affected by sexual assault. We hope to bring awareness as well as raise funding for organizations that help and support those affected so they can receive the help they need quickly.

Our first fundraiser event was for the Women's College Hospitals Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Care Centre. This centre is a comprehensive service that assists women, men, and trans people who are victims / survivors of sexual assault and domestic / intimate partner violence.

This really aligned with our values as a community so we knew they would be the perfect organization to start us off on this amazing journey.

It was  a wonderful night with a little something for everyone!

We had an art market featuring seven local up and coming vendors: NAGI, EandR Sweetery, Kiki Thrift, J3L Lingerie, The Nightshade Shop, Yatuei and Luxe Glow. This was really awesome for us as we were able to facilitate the space for them to showcase their work and sell their products.

We had 100 linen tote bags made with our logo silk screened on. We gave them out to the first 100 guests and stuffed them with goodies from Make lemonade, Beekeeper's Naturals, Jonah Jay, Lunah, Village Juicery, Oksana Berda, Mad Hippie Skin Care, Province Apothecary, Conscious Coconut and the Women’s College Hospital's very own tea blend.

Brainstation was amazing and donated their space for the event! The space itself has a very urban vibe and really acted as the perfect canvas for our decor.

To aid in the decor Balloon Queen sponsored us and gave us the most gorgeous bundles of balloons. They really set the mood - JOYFULL.

We had a live music performance from Toronto band Common Deer, free make-up sessions and an art therapy station.

Also, we were fortunate to have so many amazing sponsors for this event! We ended up having 10 silent auction prizes and 9 prize draws for guests to bid and on!

In addition, there were the most delicious bites, catered by Phancy Food Catering. The founder Meagan came herself to be apart of our night, which was very special.

Our dry bar was sponsored by Village Juicery: Here is the menu we created from the night! I have to say, “You’re One in a Melon” was my favourite!

Not only did we have auction baskets retailed at over $500 each, we also had some wonderful raffle baskets!
